I’m excited to be participating in the upcoming 2019 International Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Forum in Williamsburg at the end of the month, sponsored by the National Center for State Courts and The National Center for Technology & Dispute Resolution. I’ve been given the opportunity to speak about design approaches for optimal ODR solutions. I have the title down … and have had an engaging conversation with Jim Melamed from Mediate.com who will be preceding me, so that’s a start right?
I’ve never been to Williamsburg before. I’m traveling a day earlier to explore and am looking forward to catching up with Joe Al-Khayat from Resolve Disputes Online and celebrating RDO’s recent achievements:
Grand finalist out of over 200 applications at TR Ignite—held during Singapore’s TechLaw.Fest in September
Finalist out of 117 applications in the UK’s Legal Access Challenge, sponsored by innovation foundation Nesta Challenges in partnership with the Solicitors Regulation Authority—winner announced April 2020
Joe will be flying in from my home town (Sydney) and if he’s not co-opted for some extreme sporting activity, I may be able to persuade him to cycle the historic triangle Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. It’s only 23 miles Joe!
Best get to that presentation!
